November 02, 2017 (ATLANTA,GA)– WEtv’s star of Cutting it in the ATL, owner of the Damn Salon and Runway Curls Extensions—Mushiya Tshikuka—closed out Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) with her I Am Strong Mission—Day of Glam, which gifted 4 breast cancer survivors with a day of beauty. Breast Cancer survivors were nominated by Mushiya’s social media followers and winners included Delphyne Lomax, Brooke Terrell, Jackie Andrews and Suzanne Nelson.  These women received a full day of pampering beauty services at the Damn Salon, which included hair makeovers by a hand-picked glam squad using Runway Curls Extensions; facials by Clinical Aesthetics of Atlanta Day Spa; makeup by YBlimited & Double Dip Diva Glam Squad; and wardrobe from Shop O2G and styled by celebrity stylist Melvin Styles.  Following the makeovers, Mushiya treated the survivors to private dinner party catered by Chef Elijah Brumfield.  By the end of the day, the women took home loaded gift bags, including beauty items and gift certificates from Jones and Rose Skincare, The Glamatory, Belasse Boutique Collection, and Blame It on the Cupcakes.

“The I Am Strong Mission is one that is dedicated to the celebration of life, love, sisterhood, community, and strength,” says Mushiya Tshikuka.  “My heart gets so full when I’m able to bring together my team of natural hair stylists, some of my peers across the beauty industry along with other business owners who all come together in solidarity to support women who are fighting to live, fighting to maintain their strength and fighting to move forward.”

Mushiya founded the I Am Strong Mission more than 10 years ago which has gifted women with transformational makeovers that not only changes their exteriors but also reinvigorates their internal confidence, strength and hope after a devastating life circumstances.  Just this past February, Mushiya conducted natural hair makeovers on minority women in the military as well as veterans who were previously banned from wearing and embracing their natural hair while providing military service.
