Huli Shallone a Baltimore native, and a product of the roughest projects in Baltimore city, has been surrounded by drugs and violence his entire life. Huli started rapping around the age of 10/11 as well as played the drums, but he didn’t take seriously. Growing up in a single parent home Huli reached to the street life to provide for his family at the young age of thirteen. He became enamored by the street life but also possessed another true love… music! Huli began pursuing his passion by performing in neighborhood talent shows and performances at the age of fourteen. It was not until 2000 that Shallone grew tired of the fast life and began to focus more of his attention and energy into his music. During that critical time he crossed paths with his longtime friend and partner Okie. Okie and Huli created a music group… Natures Problem. Their new partnership proved very successful making numerous hits and receiving air time several local radio stations. Ultimately he had 11 songs in heavy rotation in the DMV and Baltimore over time. In addition to radio play, Natures Problem performed live on television shows such as Apollo and 106 and Park. Natures Problem also toured with such acts as Lil Wayne, T-Pain Akon, Lil Flip and Mannie Fresh. Through his work he has made connections with people as Zaytoven and DJ Tay Rok.

Huli has decided to release his own project in response to the great feedback he received from his family and friends that heard the music he was playing around with. He saw that people really liked his work and decided he should share his music. In 2005, Huli put out a solo project which sold over 10,000 units and made him the most acclaimed and requested local artist throughout Baltimore, Washington DC, and several other cities. His hit for My Shorty received over 5000 plays on the radio and landed him performances internationally in places such as Grenada where he traveled with the television network BET. Huli describes his fans as anyone from 18 to 60 that enjoys hardcore rap, cross over rap, or hip hop gospel. He sound and subjects are vast and diverse enabling him to connect with many.

Despite pursuing his passion for music Huli’s life in the streets has not been forgotten. His music largely influenced by those experiences. He also was influenced by his cousin, DJ BCK, and brother, Derek, who inspired him to get into music. Some of his first interactions with music was sneaking onto their turn tables and watching them create music.  Huli Shallone’s music often tells of true struggles and fame achieved in the streets. His music not only depicts a talented musician but also showcases his talent in the area of acting. He has performed in several plays on stage in front of live audiences. Huli intertwines his real life experiences passion and perseverance in pursuit of his career as a talented performer and musician. He remains true to his motto “I won’t quit till they put dirt over me!” Huli’s aura is one that will leave you with the desire to see him again. This aura compliments his image that conveys a worldwide street savvy intriguing person who will blow you away.

His immediate goals are to catapult his record label So Flooded Ent, sell millions, and go back to his hood to help all the overlooked and abandoned. Long term wise he wants to sit on the beach with a fat stomach while his label is worth millions. Millions that will help him help as many black people possible and see everyone eat. This mentality helps him work towards success which he describes as the moment you no longer have to grind for what you need or want. Since he is influenced and shaped by his environment and family it makes sense that his right hand man Okie would handle his every day activities and his go to producers are on his label. While he has already had superstars like Mannie Fresh and Lil Flip on his songs he would love to work with Drake Adele and many artists from his home town. His current single is EyeYee ft Young Dro and is available on Vevo. His next single will be Ride With Me ft TK. So look out for the next international star.
