Actress, model, and dancer born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Lorena discovered her passion for the stage at the age of 16 when she booked her first job as a backup dancer for the Spanish hip hop singer Vico C. Her dance career then launched and in a few years she had the opportunity of working for Pitbull, Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel, Peewee, Chino y Nacho, and many other well known singers in the Latin industry. She also appeared in the Disney movie “Teen Beach Movie” as a dancer as well as the commercials for AT&T and Banco Popular. During these years Lorena also attended the University of Puerto Rico to complete her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, which she finished in December of 2012.
Lorena then moved to Los Angeles, CA in February 2013 to continue her dance career, but fell in love with Fitness and acting. She adopted a healthy lifestyle and appeared in the fitness video “21 Day Fix” by Beach Body, LLC as a fitness model a few months after arriving to LA. She also placed 1st in Fitness America’s California Championships in the Model category and 8th in Fitness America Weekend 2013 in the Bikini category.
As for her acting, Lorena began training this year and has already appeared in the movie “Unspeakable Indiscretions” as Farah and will be filming a new movie called “The Reason” as well as a web series titled “Me You Him”. Lorena currently works for a Petroleum lab company and has her goals set to making acting and modeling her career. She is confident that with enough passion, drive, determination, and the support of great people she will be able to achieve her goals.
Q: What other things do you do besides modeling?
A: Like I mentioned before, I love to develop new skills and I can do few other cool things too. I’m a professional dancer trained in Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, and salsa (that’s how it all started), as well as an actress, and bikini competitor. I’m a bit of a fitness freak, so I like to compete in fitness competitions and I design and make my own bikinis for the competitions. I’ve also been training for the past 5 months for stunts, film fighting, and stage combat. I am also a former gymnast and basketball player!! Where do I get so much energy from? I have no clue! And it’s not from coffee hahaha!!
Q: What do you love about heels?
A: Well, not only do I love how heels help define your legs and make them look long and sexy, but they just bring a magical effect to a woman’s attitude. I just love how heels instantly bring your confidence and sexiness levels up. Your head immediately goes up high and those hips swing side to side with great rhythm when you walk. It’s the best thing a woman can get from a pair of heels!!
Q: How was it working with artists such as Pitbull and Daddy Yankee, as well as the cast of “Teen Beach Movie?”
A: It was beyond awesome! Sharing the stage with Pitbull and Daddy Yankee was so much fun and have been memorable moments. I also love Disney so much and when I booked “Teen Beach Movie” I felt like I turned into a kid again!! I must say that I am blessed to have worked with such talented people. These experiences have enriched me as an entertainer and have helped me move up to work much more.
