What was your very first event that made you want to have your own event agency?

My first event that made me want to have my own event business was a Christmas luncheon at my employer in Corporate America. Working with the caterer and organizing games and special moments for the employees was something that I really enjoyed doing and was great at it. The people loved not having the traditional pot luck and management liked how I incorporated the brand into the festivities. It made me realize that I can take my Project Management skills and with a creative spin create something for myself.

What are some things you really enjoy about planning events for various clientele?

I love working with different people and carrying out their vision through my organization skills and creativity. I also like working with various vendors and collaborating for customized event elements for my clients.

Who are some memorable clients or events you have done?

I liked assisting with Paul Brunson’s book tour of “It’s Complicated” when it came to Atlanta. It gave me experience with social media event elements and having a volunteer team to work with as well.

What types of events do you put together and what was the craziest event you planned?

I put together events for Corporate and Social Clients. For corporate I do team building, launch parties, holiday functions, galas, etc… For social clients it’s Weddings, Birthdays, dinner parties, Anniversaries, and Church Functions and more. I also have created a product of Kontour Kits which are like a Party-in-a-Box that clients can set up themselves.

I think the craziest event I put together was for a corporate client – a mall scavenger hunt for a team building session. It was great seeing them run around the mall and having to take pictures of everything, competitive personalities really came out! Afterwards we shared the pictures over a lunch and they enjoyed a well-executed event.

Do you create many fashion events similar to the ‘Foot Kandy Launch’?

I haven’t executed an event like the Foot Kandy Launch, but I am always looking to add a variety of event types to my portfolio.
