Beyonce reclaimed her pop culture throne with ‘Formation,’ after dropping the unexpected video and song on Saturday (Feb. 6). The song, which has attracted a fair share of controversy, easily leapt to No. 1 on the Trending 140, and was the most shared and discussed track for 10 of the first 13 hours following its release. Queen Bey followed up the surprise release by performing part of the song live during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show in a shared set with Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
